Holmes Packaging is a Leader in Flexible Packaging for the Food Industry

Holmes Packaging was founded in Rotorua, New Zealand in 1948 and is a privately owned company. Whilst our manufacturing facilities have remained in New Zealand, our commitment to quality and product development has enabled us to establish significant markets in the USA, Australia, and Argentina. We are recognised as a leading supplier of multiwall and barrier co-extruded flexible packaging for the food industry.

The successful introduction of 7-layer co-extrusion equipment for the production of blown high-barrier films in 1993 was followed by the installation of the world's first 9-layer, 9-component blown film line in 1997, and a further 9-layer line in 1999.

Such leading-edge technology is evidence of Holmes Packaging's commitment to the development of improved products for extended shelf life packaging. Barrier film co-extrusion and multiwall bag manufacturing expertise, combined with flexographic printing capability positions Holmes Packaging as a leading supplier of flexible barrier food packaging.

Focused Research & Development and the implementation of a comprehensive "hands on" Quality Assurance programme is seen as central to the Holmes philosophy, a philosophy rewarded in 1991 with ISO 9002 certification. Our commitment to the food industry is reaffirmed by our manufacturing facilities being accredited to HACCP standards and the commissioning of a new conversion plant built to meet food hygiene standards.

This combination of leading-edge technology, in-depth product research and a highly skilled team will result in quality packaging solutions for your food products.
